Awsome and I went to lunch yesterday. She mentioned that Uptight had frequently offered to take her to a Private Gun Show. Not knowing what was meant by this, and the fact that Uptight had never invited ME to any Gun Shows, knowing that I have an obsession with collecting small caliber peashooters from the 19th century English Royal servants private collections, I was baffled.
THEN Uptight sent us a picture.
This didn't look like any Victorian Dueling Shopping Mart that I had ever seen! I was forced to look it up.
I started with the Urban Dictionary:
"one who flaunts one's abnormally bulging musculature for his own entertainment and for the annoyance of others lacking."
That didn't sound like something Uptight had so I will keep looking...

Slothbaker Will Woo The Women Folk
Feeling a bit at sea without Uptight, Bea decided to expand her social circle and meet this Slothbaker all the gals have been twittering about. So come Monday she jumped at a last minute invite to dine at Henry Hunan's with Awesome and Slothbaker.
Bea and Slothbaker hit it off right away. Bea said she was comforted by the familiarity of a salmon colored shirt, but also found it thrilling to finally dine with a man who had the proper gun show necessary to truly set off a brightly colored twill.
When asked what Uptight would think upon seeing these cozy pictures Bea cooed, "Uptight who?", while never tearing her gaze away from the Slothbaker.

We'll Audition Potential Work Husbands
Sorry Uptight, but Slothbaker is giving you a real run for your money! Check out this little ditty http://www.badgerbadgerbadger.com/. Slothbaker is a funny bastard! You'd better spend some time over the next few months thinking about how you can up your game when you get home.
Sincerely, Awesome the Wii-ter
We'll Distract Ourselves with Electronics
We'll Post A Service Flag
We'll Run a 5k Race
On Sunday, Awesome, Valley Girl and her little v.g's in training ran the Polo Fields 5k. Since we missed Uptight so much during the run and at breakfast, we decided to do some care package shopping for our favorite soldier. Three year-old Eleana was so inspired she headed home and perused her toy box for some treats to send overseas. So Uptight, keep your eyes open for presents that will show you what the toddler crowd thinks you'll enjoy!
Here are the girls pre-race. Can you tell who was ready to go, and who isn't a morning person?
